Other forms: tee shirts

Casual tops made of slightly stretchy, lightweight fabric are tee shirts. Your favorite tee shirt might be printed with the name of a band you like.

A tee shirt (also spelled T-shirt) is a very common item of clothing, one that most of us wear sometimes. The classic version has a crew neck and short sleeves and is made of cotton jersey. Tee shirts evolved from 19th-century undershirts, gradually becoming a garment that was worn out in public. The name comes from the shape of the shirt, with arms that stick out from the body, forming a sort of T.
